IN VIVO (LIVING ORGANISM) TESTS

The objective of the in vivo trial is to validate the efficacy of the local delivery employing the MBP apparatus so as to enable metronomic controlled delivery of polypharmacy. A further objective of the study is to demonstrate the MBP regulating loop (homeostasis) to sense and control the local delivery of the medicating agents whereby parameters such as rate of flow, volume, duration, schedule, and others are used effectively and safely.

To that effect, PKC will design an animal study protocol which will demonstrate the ability of the MBP and its various embodiments using healthy farm pigs, weighing 25 to 35 kg, 3-6 months in age. The animal study experiments will be performed in accordance with the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) guidelines.
