Marcus Dawes

Biography

 

Marcus Dawes graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics with a minor in history from the University of California, Irvine, and went on to complete the first year of law school at Whittier College of Law, Costa Mesa.  Leaving academic studies, Marcus then studied and passed the U.S. Patent Bar in 2007, becoming a registered patent agent, licensed to represent clients before the US Patent Office in all matters, including the Board of Appeals and Patent Interferences.


Marcus worked for six months as an in-house agent with Magnetecs in Inglewood before taking on and completing an internship with Arnold and Siedsma in Munich, Germany, studying and working in European patent law and practice before the European Patent Office. 


Marcus returned to the United States to become a co-founder with his father of Dawes Patent Law Group in Huntington Beach, where he continues to work in every aspect of patent practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office as an agent.
