Area of Expertise: regulatory compliance.

In addition to his medical training, Dr. Rastein was granted a Masters of Public Health by the University of California, Los Angeles School of Public Health in 2003. His extensive education has been augmented by his years of experience in the field of regulatory compliance. Dr. Rastein worked with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center as their Corporate Compliance Senior Analyst from 2004 to 2006 and continued as their U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) Compliance Officer from 2006 to present. In addition, since 2008 has been President of the Compliance and Regulatory of American (CARA) Consulting Corporation, with a specialty in regulatory program design for laboratory, research, and healthcare facilities. In his work with CARA, he has guided many large corporations and institutions through the process of FDA and GLP compliance efforts.

At PKC, Dr. Rastein's role includes oversight of all pre-clinical aspects of PKC's product development to streamline its regulatory pathway progress. His vast network of industry contacts and years of experience make him a critical asset to the company as PKC moves forward.
