PKC RETAINS KNOBBE MARTIN OLSEN AND BEARS, LLP TO HANDLE IP PORTFOLIO
INGLEWOOD, CALIFORNIA, December 18, 2008 – In the continuing process of protecting and extending PKC’s Intellectual Property (IP), today, PKC Public Relations Representative, announced that PKC has retained the law firm of Knobbe Martin Olsen and Bears, LLP (KMOB) to oversee PKC’s IP portfolio.
KMOB is the largest international IP law firm west of the Mississippi. Steve C. Jensen from KMOB will be PKC’s leading intellectual property attorney. He will be in charge of PKC patent filings and patent protection, and will serve as PKC’s liaison with the United States Patent and Trademarks Office.
Steve Jensen was selected as one of the top “20 under 40” in the 11th annual selection of California’s top young attorneys by the Daily Journal 2003 (http://www.kmob.com/steve.htm). He is considered to be among a handful of the youngest, most bright, and widely accomplished IP attorneys in the nation. Among Jensen’s accomplishments, is a case that received national media attnetion for a $265 Million settlement in the favor of Masimo, a medical device company based in Irvine, CA vs. Nellcor, a division of Tyco Healthcare.
Stephen C. Jensen is a partner in KMOB Orange County office. Mr. Jensen’s practice emphasizes intellectual property litigation, negotiation, licensing, and strategic counseling matters. He has handled extensive and diverse cases involving virtually all aspects of intellectual property, and has negotiated and drafted diverse license and other technology related agreements between companies worldwide.
